Watch the Demo: How Still Me Turns Everyday Activities Into CQC Evidence
A resident engagement app should do more than give you somewhere to log that an activity happened. In the demo above, I walk through exactly how Still Me works, end to end, and why it’s built specifically for the part of care that’s traditionally hardest to prove: genuine, person-centred engagement. Here’s a written walkthrough of what’s in the video, if you’d rather read it first or come back to a specific part later.
Still Me isn’t trying to replace the systems you already run your home on. It sits alongside them, doing the one job most of them were never really built for.
Why a Resident Engagement App Beats a Generic Activity Diary
If you’ve ever filled in an activity diary that just says “resident enjoyed the activity,” you already know the problem. That sentence doesn’t tell an inspector anything. It doesn’t tell a family anything. And it doesn’t even tell you whether that resident is actually doing okay.
Most care homes already run something like Nourish or PCS’s mCare for their day-to-day records: care plans, rostering, incident logs. Both are genuinely strong at that job. But activity provision tends to get squeezed into a corner of those systems, logged the same way as a cleaning schedule: an activity happened, it can be photographed, and that’s about as far as it goes.
I built Still Me after 35 years in care, and after watching my own twin brother Christopher go through the last months of his life without anyone really capturing what still mattered to him. He couldn’t tell anyone what he wanted, so somebody had to notice it for him. That’s what this resident engagement app is built to do.
Logging a Session in Under a Minute
In the demo, I show a resident’s profile inside Still Me. Before a coordinator even starts a session, they can see that person’s history: what they used to do for work, the music they loved, what’s worked in past sessions and what hasn’t. It’s not a blank page every time.
Logging an actual session takes under a minute: mood before, mood after, what the resident chose to do, what came up in conversation. Do this every day, across a home full of residents, and you stop just running activities. You start building a real picture of quality of life for every person in your care, with patterns showing up on their own: who’s engaging well this week, who’s gone quiet, where a coordinator might need to try something different.
Turning Activity Into CQC Evidence
This is the part that saves hours, sometimes days, before an inspection. Everything logged gets pulled together automatically into a CQC-ready evidence pack, mapped directly to Regulation 9 (person-centred care), Regulation 10 (dignity and respect), Regulation 17 (good governance), and Regulation 18 (staffing).
If you’re already running Nourish or mCare, this isn’t asking you to rip anything out. Both are strong, established systems for whole-service digital records. What they’re not built to do is capture the individualised detail CQC increasingly expects around activity engagement specifically, and that’s the exact gap Still Me sits in, right alongside them.
It doesn’t stop at the resident, either. Every session links back to the training behind it. If a coordinator completes a CPD module on sensory engagement and then delivers a session using that method, Still Me connects all three: the training, the delivery, and the outcome. Training, practice, and evidence, sitting in one place, instead of three separate systems that never talk to each other.
What Families and Coordinators Actually See
Families get their own window into all of this too. Not “Mum ate her lunch today.” They can see that she smiled through a music session, that she talked about her wedding day for the first time in months, that she’s been more engaged this week than last. That’s the update families are actually hoping for.
Still Me also comes with its own activity library: printouts, PDFs, digital resources, and physical activity packs delivered straight to your care home. If you’re already using Oomph! for its content library, that’s a genuinely strong tool, thousands of ready-made activities and exercise classes at a scale Still Me doesn’t try to match. Still Me’s library is smaller and more curated, built to support the sessions you’re actually logging rather than to replace a large content platform. The two work well side by side.
Where This Fits Alongside What You’re Already Using
Still Me isn’t trying to replace Nourish, mCare, or Oomph!, or any of the systems you’re already running your home on. As a resident engagement app, it sits alongside them, doing the one job most of them were never really built for: proving that the person behind the care plan is actually being seen, every single day, not just on the days someone happens to write it down.
If you’d like to see it working inside your own home rather than just on screen, get in touch about our services, or explore The Coordinator’s Table for weekly coaching alongside the platform.
